A patient with symptoms of Ebola is being treated in a hospital in the American city of Miami, NBC reported, citing an employee of the Center for Disease Control, USA (CDC).
Officially, this information has not been confirmed.
Earlier in the United States were delivered three American doctors who were infected Ebola in Liberia. Two of them were treated in Atlanta Georgia and have been discharged from hospital. The third is currently undergoing treatment in Nebraska.
The Ebola virus was discovered in 1976 in Zaire (now DRC) and was named for the river, next to which is the village with the first infected. After the start of the current outbreak of cases of infection have been reported in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal. At this point, according to official data, the disease killed more than 2 thousand people, almost 4,000 people are infected. An effective vaccine against the virus does not exist yet. WHO recognized the ethical use of experimental drugs to treat the disease.
